Leigh Wright, President, called the meeting to order at 5:04 PM. Mark Cellar, Director, Leigh
Wright, President, Sarah Ottonello, Vice President, Valeri Boswell, Treasurer and Gloria Kim,
Secretary were present. Travis from the mattress fundraiser was also in attendance.
Previous meeting notes were approved by Mark and seconded by Leigh
Corrections to last month’s meeting notes: N/A
The agenda was presented and accepted.
1. Mattress Fundraiser: Travis
Per Mark: Football will not be joining the band for mattress fundraiser
Custom Fundraising Solutions (CFS) - CFSFrontRange (FB page)
Travis can send save the dates and flyers after meeting
Dates: 6/2 - 4 PM Info Meeting for students, 5:00 PM for parents
8/29 - Fundraiser
To get to the goal, need to focus on ‘Outside the House’ sales. If focused in house (i.e. parents),
that will not get us to our target.
Last year, this was the #1 territory (over $300,000 raised). CV was one of three schools
randomly selected to win $500 check.
Purple will continue to give money to schools, but will be looking at schools that are
raising high amounts of money, so want to make sure that we’re promoting and pushing
the fundraiser.
Promote! Can post on socials and tag Travs & Purple
They now have a new option to allow people to pre-qualify before they even come to the
fundraiser. (Can be prequalified for $15,000 to be spent on anything a value of $2,500 or more)
Travis is seeing higher ticket average, so 50 mattresses will bring in the same amount of money
as 75 mattresses used to. ($10,000)
Make sure that all parents come to the second day of band camp to the parent meeting (6/2)
Travis is willing to fund a pizza party to get more students and parents to show up to the
meeting.
1
He will need the RSVP list at least 2 days prior, so that he can make sure that he orders enough
pizza.
That day, he will also do the text share with the kids, so that they can start getting things set up
for marketing the fundraiser.
2. Treasurer’s Report - Valeri Boswell
a. All purchases must have receipts and turned into Val to keep record
b. Account balance:
Balance as of End of March: $11,324.56
Balance as of Today: $9,755.33 (not including checks given to Val during meeting)
The difference in balance is due to two new generators that Mark bought, plus payment sent for
colorguard jackets
Checks given to Val during meeting:
● $1500 WCF (Sponsorship)
● $300 Peak Potential (Sponsorship)
● $1500 Otto Equipment (Sponsorship)
● $800 Sozo Integrated Health (Sponsorship)
● $200 Ottonello Parent Shoutouts
● $300 Les Schwab (Sponsorship)
Gloria venmo’d $100 for Cresmen parent shoutout
3. Outstanding Fees
1 half payment for WP still outstanding. This was the parent who wrote a check and thinks they
wrote a full payment. Val has not had success with the bank in getting a copy of the check to
confirm that it was only a half payment to the parent. Still working with the parent to get the
remainder paid off.
4. Percussion Donation Drive:
$300 total raised - $200 via Cognito and $100 via Venmo
5. 2027 Gala Date:
Saturday 4/24
2
*This is contingent on whether prom has to move their date. They currently are looking at the
beginning of May, like this year.
Also, Cabaret will be the night before, just like this year.
6. 2026 Gala Setup Schedule: Same as last year - signups
Mark will print and discuss signups with the students when discussing lettering tomorrow
Currently the commons and gym are booked from 12 PM -10 PM. The morning doesn’t have
anything currently booked, but Mark isn’t sure why it was set up this way, since he specifically
asked for it to be starting in the morning. Mark will reach out again to ask for the morning to be
booked to avoid any issues.
Leigh asked for the pipe and drape setup to be done by 9 AM
7. Alumni Dinner: May 19th
a. Saber Cave? Leigh would like Mark to reserve the Saber Cave so there are less
logistically to figure out day of. This way, if rehearsal runs late, the venue is the
same location as rehearsal location. Also, given the current headcount, do not
need a very large venue to host.
Mark took a look at the calendar and the date is currently open.
b. Payments for dinner - need to collect now for caterer
i. $25 per person due by 5/8/2026
ii. Venmo Boosters
Per Val, the due date for payment to the caterer is 5/13, so Mark will reach out
and start collecting payments
Caterer (Sunday Salmon Catering) quote was buffet style for $25 per plate +
cash donation
Val to send the menu to Mark, so he can share when collecting payments
c. RSVPs for dinner: currently 21 or 22 RSVPs
8. Booster Fundraising: Gloria and Sarah
a. Red Robin: $230.89. Gloria gave check to Val
b. March 11th: Shake Shack results: $284.06, still waiting for check to be mailed
c. April 25th: Gala
d. May/June: Peaches and Mattress fundraiser kickoff at mini band camp
e. July: Coldstone - Gloria will book based on dates that Holly gave last month. If
